The DESI Data Inspector was written by Stephen Bailey (Berkeley Lab), building upon earlier exploratory work by Vivien Goyal and Ronit Nagarapu. It uses tools from open source DESI software, in particular desispec, redrock, and prospect, which were written by members of the DESI Data team. Under the hood the Inspector is based upon Bokeh, Flask, and Gunicorn. Portions of the Inspector were written by the LBL CBorg Coder AI model.
